En weet iemand misschien nog een leuk hotelletje of B&B of overnachtings mogelijkheid?

Ik ben al eerder in Canada geweest maar dan in BC en Alberta, maar wil nu deze omgeving wel zien…heb er al zoveel mooie plaatjes van gezien…

Ik heb het aan Bart de Haas gevraagd.
Bart de Haas heeft een outdoor school in de Yukon,en wel op de grens tussen BC en de yukon bij het plaatsje Atlin.daar komt hij al 45 jaar,en hij komt ook vaak in White horse,over het weer daar zegt hij het volgende:
De Coastmountains vormen een barriere voor de van de oceaan komende
depressies,waardoor neerslag overwegend aan de westkant van het kustgebergte
valt.De zomers die ten oosten van het berggbied heersen-zijn overwegend warm en
droog,de thermometer komt dan vaak boven de 25C.
In September-Oktober is het door de heldere nachten niet ongewoon dat het vriest.
De herfst-bekend als Indian Summer-kenmerkt zich door aangename heldere
dagen met temperaturen van rond de 15.C tot zelfs 20.C en koude nachten,
waarbij het kwik kan dalen tot - 10.C.
Kort samengevat heerst ten oosten van het kustgebergte,dus de gebieden waar we het over hebben,een semi landklimaat met strenge koude winters en droge
warme zomers.In de winter is de sneeuwlaag beneden de 1000meter over het
algemeen z'on 50 tot 160 centimeter dik.
