Advies welk campertype

  Hallo, 

  Wij willen in juni met onze zoon van 17 maanden naar West-Canada. 

  We hebben al veel rondgekeken op internet en dit forum, maar vinden het lastig een goede keuze te maken qua campertype. 

  We denken bijv aan de c-medium of de truck met slide out (hebben bij fraserway gekeken, maar kan ook elders zijn). Slaappplek voor onze zoon is bij beide opties de dinette. Maar het lijkt mij een nadeel dat als het koud is, je dan zelf nergens binnen kan zitten? Of ga je dan op bed zitten? of is het weer warm over het algemeen warm genoeg dat je buiten bent?

   Bij de medium zou onze zoon nog in het bed boven de bestuurderscabine kunnen slapen. Maar hoe doe je dat op een veilige manier? Travelcot tentje met tie wraps, lees ik, maar werkt dat ook echt? Heeft iemand hier zelf ervaring mee? (overigens vind ik dit bij het dinette bed ook lastig)

  Hallo Marije.

  Mijn naam is Mark en ik werk hier in Calgary voor een Camper verhuur bedrijf. Ik zal geen naam noemen, mag geloof ik geen reclame maken. 

  Ik krijg regelmatig soortgelijke vragen van onze gasten en mijn advies zou zijn een kleinere C klasse te huren. Indien nog beschikbaar zou ik er een nemen zonder de cab-over bedden. Het is best hoog en lastig te ‘beveiligen’. Mocht het nou te koud zijn 's avonds of regenen (het kan trouwens heel mooi weer zijn in Juni!) dan zou ik ervoor kiezen om mijn kind in het grote bed te laten slapen totdat jullie zelf naar bed gaan. Dan even de kleine naar het dinette bed dragen en huppakee. Bij Walmart hebben ze wel oplossingen zoals deze : Bed Rail Bumbper Pad Toddler. Zoek maar eens op Walmart.ca

  Een ander voordeel voor de camper zonder ‘cab-over’ beds is dat deze naar mijn mening best het prachtige uitzicht belemmeren. Een voorbeeld zou kunnen zijn: https://www.canadream.com/rv-rental/super-van-camper/ 

  De meeste campings hebben trouwens ook vuurplekken dichtbij de camper. Lekker warm bij het vuur zitten :-)
