Welke camperverhuurbedrijven goede ervaringen?

Wij zijn net terug van onze reis door West-Canada waar we 3 weken lang rond zijn getrokken met een camper van Canadream. We hadden het type SVC gehuurd welke zeer ruim is. Het was een splinternieuwe camper en wij waren de eerste huurders. Ook het personeel bij het verhuurstation in Vancouver was zeer vriendelijk. Ik lees hier op het forum vaak berichten dat mensen van alles nog moeten kopen voor de camper. Bij Canadream zat dit er allemaal bij (antislip in keukenkastjes, rubberen handschoenen voor legen riool en noem maar op). Ook hoef je bij Canadream niet zelf te zorgen voor chemicaliën voor in de wc en hoef je niet te zorgen dat de LPG tank weer gevuld is. Dit in tegenstelling tot andere verhuurders.
Ik zou op een volgende reis zeker weer huren bij Canadream.

Voor de eerste keer naar Canada dit jaar met Fraserway MH 22 met 21.000 km op de teller. Voorzien van grote bijl, stoeltjes, chemische zakjes voor toilet (om mee te beginnen, later zelf bijkopen). Voordeel is dat we de camper niet hoefden schoon te maken, zowel binnen- als buitenkant niet, dat doen ze liever zelf in hun eigen wasstraat. Ook LPG tank hoefde niet bijgevuld te worden, dat vullen ze zelf bij. We hadden wel een probleempje met de oven waarvan de waakvlam na twee weken niet meer aan wilde gaan. Waarschijnlijk iets losgetrilt of een vuiltje ergens. Maar dat konden we eventueel, na telefonisch overleg, ergens onderweg laten repareren. Ook de sensoren van zwart- en grijs watertanks geven soms niet de correcte inhoud weer, maar dat kan te maken hebben met afvalresten op de sensoren. Verder niets dan lof over het materiaal en de ontvangst bij Fraserway. Ik denk dat iedereen die geen al te nare zaken heeft meegemaakt met het huurvoertuig over het algemeen positief staat tegenover de verhuurmaatschappij. en ook niet onbelangrijk: alle waar is naar z'n geld!

Wat ik lees over Canadadream kan ik ook zeggen over Go West. Wij zijn dit jaar voor de eerste keer met een RV door Canada getrokken en geboekt bij GoWest. Wij hadden een C26, opgehaald en teruggebracht in Vancouver.
De RV was compleet ingericht (we hebben niets hoeven kopen om aan te vullen of om alles goed vast te zetten). Zaken als chemicalën en LPG waren gewoon bijgeleverd. De RV was nieuw en schoon. De dekbedden en handdoeken waren erg goed. Erg praktisch was de standaard TomTom aan boord. In de parken niet nodig, maar rond Vancouver en andere grote plaatsen uitstekend te gebruiken, zeker als je nog aan de RV moet wennen.
We zijn keurig opgehaald bij het hotel (met een taxi, precies op tijd) en ook weer naar het vliegveld gebracht.
Onderweg een kleine reparatie nodig door een lek bij een waterleiding. Geen probleem, want naar de garage en laten maken. Rekening ging gewoon naar GoWest, dus ook niet voor hoeven schieten.
Volgende keer gaan wij zeker weer voor GoWest.
Overigens denk ik dart als ik de verhalen zo lees dat Canadream en Fraserway een soorgelijk serviceniveau halen. GoWest is relatief klein en dan doen ze vaak meer moeite om goede service te leveren.

Afgelopen voorjaar, half mei tot half juni een camper gehuurd van Fraserway in Leduc. Prima ervaringen. Zeer klantvriendelijk bedrijf met een goede keuze aan vans. Omdat wij veel uitzicht rondom wensen hebben wij gekozen voor de van- conversion. Rijdt prima, krachtige en soepele motor.
inderdaad hebben ze veel Nederlands sprekend personeel, wat soms gemakkelijk is.
Vanuit Edmonton ben je binnen een paar uur bij de Rockies maar ook één van de vele natuurparken in de omgeving bezoeken. En die zijn rustiger dan die in de Rockies. Edmonton is een groene stad.
